GeschäftsführerAs a teenager, I was lucky enough to discover the pristine nature and traditional culture of the North: encounters with the indigenous Sami people, trees covered in thick snow that transform nature into a sculpture park, or hiking through streams and rivers in the Sarek National Park. These were very moving moments in my life and I also want my children and their children to be able to experience such moments.
I would like to invite you to join us in bringing about this sustainable change.
We are committed to sustainable development in the North
Our vision is to be, in the long term, the leading sustainable tour operator for the North. That is why we at Kontiki Reisen are prepared to commit ourselves to obligations that go beyond the minimum legal requirements. We have been TourCert-certified since 2013 and are proud to bear this seal. We focus on authentic experiences and actively contribute to shaping tourism in the north. For example, we were able to achieve that the Luosto holiday region has chosen to pursue qualitative and sustainable tourism - and thus we are able to enhance the customer experience in the long term.
In order to promote sustainable tourism in the North, we have developed KONTIKI 2030. This commitment is based on the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), on which we have formulated 17 pledges that we will fulfil by 2030.
Our 17 pledges
United for Sustainability in the North
In order to do justice to sustainability in all its complexity, we have formulated 17 pledges that we will fulfil by 2030. You will find all 17 pledges on the inside. Sustainable development thrives on the exchange between different tourism stakeholders. We gather them all together around the table in order to create solutions, which everyone can achieve in their own sphere of influence − and you can be part of this journey, too!
You too can become a KONTIKI 2030 ambassador
We look forward to your commitment and feedback at cr@kontiki.ch.
